7/30/06 Full day trip with Martin Ward and his crew aboard hoping to fish along the beach but the weather was a little "iffy", so we opted to work the backwaters. We were targeting flounder and redfish and managed to land 8 flounder with the largest at 2.5lbs and 3 red fish with the largest at 24in. We also found a hole holding a few speckled trout up to 17in. and put 2 in the boat. Extreme low tides made it a bit challenging today but we managed and still has a decent catch. Great Job Guys! Martin, sorry that doormat flounder didn't stay on the hook a bit longer... he should've been in the net... We'll get him next time... Thursday 7/27/06 Regular Client, James Godfrey and his grandson, Parker, aboard for a 6hr trip this morning. We spent the first half hour looking for some big spanish but could only find some in the 2lb range with a slow bite . Rather than run 10 miles for some big spanish we opted to stay in the area and work over the flounder. Over the next 4hrs we managed to bring 29 flounder to the side of the boat and kept 20 from just over 1lb to 4.3lbs. Super Job Guys! Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE CHARTERS- 910-326-7512 or 336-558-5697 or EMAIL jcronk@ec.rr.com

Wed July 26th I had Eddie Games and crew from Newbern onboard for a 6-hour trip today... We started out looking for some citation spanish during the 1st hour and only managed a 2lb spaniard... so rather than run all over the coast looking for a bite we moved on to searching for flounder.... Well, not much searching required today... first stop and we started catching the flatties... We spent the next four hours bailing flounder over the sides of the boat just as quick as we got our lines in the water... Other than a minor setback where I managed to sink two barbs of a treble hook in my hand as deep as they could go (second time in 20years)... and refused to head to the dock and leave this flounder bite... so I performed a short surgery inbetween netting fish and tying rigs and then we commenced the slaughter! We quit about 12:30 and had kept our 40 flounder for 5 anglers and released 9 others. The flounder ranged from 1.5 to 4.5lbs and we fed a nice 3+lber to a 40+lb cuda... SUPER MORNING OF FISHING! Great job guys! Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE CHARTERS- 910-326-7512 OR 336-558-5697 OR email jcronk@ec.rr.com. Call for open dates...

Sat. 7/22/06 Steve Freeman from Kernersville, NC along with several of his friends hoping to get into the ocean to chase the spanish, kings, and flounder again this year. But the 20 to 25+mph SW winds wouldn't even let the 50ft charter boats out today... but we have that option of fishing a lot of skinny water around swansboro, even in a strong blow. We worked some protected waters this morning on the high tide to catch a bunch of redfish and flounder on spinner baits and then moved toward the ICW and Inlet on the lower tide and continued catching some flounder and reds. We ended up with 8 redfish from 19 to 25in. and 11 flounder with 7 keepers from 1.5 to 3lbs along with several black drum about 1.5lbs. Great job guys and I'm glad we could pound out the day with a good catch during some tough weather... Great Job... capt. Great Flounder Bite....

7/18/06 Tuesday 6hr trip with Mike Marks, his son and daughter, and a colleague aboard.
