Sunday 7/16/06 Charlie Stanley and crew aboard for a 6hr trip to help prep themselves for the "Take the Troops Fishing Tourny" hosted by the Onslow Bay Saltwater Fishing Club each Year. These boys layed it to the fish. We started off in the backwaters working and landed 5 black drum, 1 speckled trout, and 1 redfish. Then we moved on to work near Bogue Inlet and found a good mat of flounder. We worked Berkley Gulp SW 3in. curly tail minnows on 1.5oz jigheads off the bottom while powerdrifting. After 2 1/2hours of flounder fishing we wound up with 12 flounder from 1.5 to 3lbs for the cooler and released just a couple of shorties. I had a blast fishing with you guys today! Good luck with the troops tourny... Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE CHARTERS- 910-326-7512 OR 336-558-5697 OR EMAIL JCRONK@EC.RR.COM
