Wed July 26th I had Eddie Games and crew from Newbern onboard for a 6-hour trip today... We started out looking for some citation spanish during the 1st hour and only managed a 2lb spaniard... so rather than run all over the coast looking for a bite we moved on to searching for flounder.... Well, not much searching required today... first stop and we started catching the flatties... We spent the next four hours bailing flounder over the sides of the boat just as quick as we got our lines in the water... Other than a minor setback where I managed to sink two barbs of a treble hook in my hand as deep as they could go (second time in 20years)... and refused to head to the dock and leave this flounder bite... so I performed a short surgery inbetween netting fish and tying rigs and then we commenced the slaughter! We quit about 12:30 and had kept our 40 flounder for 5 anglers and released 9 others. The flounder ranged from 1.5 to 4.5lbs and we fed a nice 3+lber to a 40+lb cuda... SUPER MORNING OF FISHING! Great job guys! Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE CHARTERS- 910-326-7512 OR 336-558-5697 OR email jcronk@ec.rr.com. Call for open dates...
