Sat. 7/22/06 Steve Freeman from Kernersville, NC along with several of his friends hoping to get into the ocean to chase the spanish, kings, and flounder again this year. But the 20 to 25+mph SW winds wouldn't even let the 50ft charter boats out today... but we have that option of fishing a lot of skinny water around swansboro, even in a strong blow. We worked some protected waters this morning on the high tide to catch a bunch of redfish and flounder on spinner baits and then moved toward the ICW and Inlet on the lower tide and continued catching some flounder and reds. We ended up with 8 redfish from 19 to 25in. and 11 flounder with 7 keepers from 1.5 to 3lbs along with several black drum about 1.5lbs. Great job guys and I'm glad we could pound out the day with a good catch during some tough weather... Great Job... capt.
