5/11/2012 NEARSHORE FLOUNDER TRIP Hello Folks! It's that time! The Summer Flounder have moved nearshore and we're currently scheduling for the Summer and Fall! I ran the first trip out of Bogue Inlet this Sat. and we spent 4hrs in decent conditions (67 degree water and 10 to 12mph winds, 2 to 3ft seas) scouring some nearshore hard bottoms in search of these big and tasty flatties. We managed to get on a decent bite and within a couple hours we landed 10 flounder with 8 fish between 2 and 3.5lbs. We also released ALOT of 13 to 18in Seabass (which we will be allowed to keep come 6/1). There are plenty of big bluefish around and the first few Spanish have showed up. Inshore we're catching Reds, Flounder, Sheepshead, bluefish, and a few black drum. Call now and reserve your date! Capt.
