9/12 Spanish Blitz!!! Flounder!!! Redfish!!!

9/12/09 Morning Trip- With Tom Page and crew onboard this morning and some very purrrty weather... we filled up the livewell with baits and busted through the inlet wide open!!! We stopped on our first spot in hopes of some of those 3 to 6lb Spanish Mackerel... and the first thing to hit the baits was a Hound fish. We almost let but about 20 min. into it we hooked up a 4lb Spanish on our light spin tackle... so, we hung out and as the morning progressed, so did the bite. We had about 30 knockdowns and boated 13 Spanish from 3.5 to 5.5lbs! We made a couple of quick pit stops and landed 6 flounder, keeping three with the largest at 4lbs! Super job folks!

Afternoon Trip-- 12:30pm and I was off on the 2nd trip of the day. Bill Stocks and his crew wanted to focus on the backwaters. Our first stop got us hooked up with a couple of nice Redfish... then, the tide rose over everything! We made a few stops but our fish were way back into the deep grass. We persisted and were able to land a couple more reds before we headed back to the dock around 4:30pm
