NCCHARTERFISHING-Capt.'s Jeff Cronk and MIke Taylor-Crystal Coast, Swansboro, Emerald Isle

Mike and I "Team Crystal Coast Graphics/NCCHARTERFISHING" competed in the 2009 CCFA Redfish Tournament held out of Casper's Marina this Sat. Aug. 8th. The extreme low tides and lack of water kept some anglers from entering this event and the number of entries was down with only 15 boats competing. But, those 15 teams consisted of some of the best Redfish anglers along NC's coast. The day was beautiful and most teams had success finding some fish. Mike and I were lucky enough to get on a few fat fish early in the morning. We culled through a bunch of 25 to 27in fish and pulled out our best weight this season. We had a two fish aggregate of 14.66lbs to take 1st Place in the main event. We also had 1st place TWT for big fish at almost 7.5lbs. Awsome day! The next CCFA tournament will be Sat. October 10th during the Swansboro Mullet Festival with Check in at Casper's Marina. The event will be televised with tons of spectators for the weigh-in.
