7/31/09 The Black Drum Action Continues!

Today I had Rob, his Father-in-law Ed, and Rob 's son, Brian, onboard all the way from Germantown. It's Brian's birthday and we really wanted to get him on a good bite of quality fish. We loaded down the livewell with bait and made our first stop. It took some patience as we spent the first couple hours scouting and scraped up 6 Black Drum from 1 to 2.5lbs along with a few snapper blues. Then, we made a last move and got on a good bite. We kept doubling over the rods with 2 to 4lb Black Drum... We even had a monster Black Drum on for a short while before he pulled the hook. This fish would have went over 15lbs! The fish won this battle but, we'll be back in search of him.... Great job today Brian! Happy Birthday and congrats on your fish today!
