7/30/09 Wow! More Monster Sheepshead!
7/30/09 Morning Trip- Michael Griffin's Crew stepped onboard today at 6am and we were off... looking for some more big sheepshead and black drum. We put the powerpole down on the first spot and applied a little patience.... first half hour all we had was a couple 1/2lb sheepshead....then, the tide got right and Wham! The first big convict at 8+lbs.... then the action continued over the next few hours with a 9lb4oz., one at 7+lbs, another 6+lber, a 5lber, and three more 3 to 4lbers. The sheepshead bite slowed and then the Black Drum turned on and we landed 6 from 2.5 to 3lbs. We lucked out and picked up a 2.5lb Speckled Trout. We made a pit stop on the way back to the dock and raked up 100 clams and got back to the dock at 10:30am. Great time today guys!
