Swansboro Fishing Report

Mike and I have been out several times this past week since coming back from Florida. The trout fishing was hit and miss due to the severe weather and winds we have been experiencing but the cooler weather has finally settled in and we're starting to see some nice trout coming from our favorite holes in our area and surrounding areas. There is also no shortage of Redfish to be had while sightfishing the shoals. I was on the water with a client just after the passing cold front recently. The bite was slow but the two of us managed to land about 12 speckled trout, 1 nice flounder, and a decent puppy drum. We were pleased to wind up with an inshore slam as we were confronted with winds of 25 to 30mph and very chalky incoming tide water. This cold front will really heat up the reddrum fishing for our upcoming trips. Be sure to keep an eye on the site for reports.

-thanks,
Capt. Jeff Cronk
