Sun. May 20th More Flatfish!

I left the dock around 10:00am with Walt B. and friends aboard for a 4hr trip. They were up for whatever quality fish would bite. The wind was up quite a bit and we started out playing with some sheepshead. We landed one and missed several others over a span of 20min. The bite was rather slow so we moved on with the incoming tide to find some other action. We worked some shallow water before heading toward the inlet and found a few puppydrum and a flounder along some shelly flats. The wind dropped out and we had an hour or so left so we shot out the inlet and pulled up on some good bottom near the beach and worked a few Summer Flounder with Jigs. We landed 6 up to 3lbs before heading back to the dock. There was just a 1 to 2hr window between wind shifts today in which the ocean was calm enough to enjoy it. We just lucked out and got that window. Great job Guys! Capt. Jeff Cronk
