Memorial Weekend Report- Flounder, Kings, Redfish...

We fished this Sat. morning in the backwaters with Walt B. and crew aboard and managed to find some redfish and southern flounder. Then back out in the afternoon with Daniel and Melissa Willis aboard for some topwater redfish action. We found reds from 23 to 24in. and fished a couple of hours with 6 hook-ups. Great job Daniel Guys! Sunday morning Amy Smith of Jacksonville stepped aboard with her brother and boyfriend for about 4hrs. Mannn... why don't these young women ever bring their girlfriends and leave the boyfriends at home.... (just kidding Clinton!). We started out with a few knockdowns on the deep diving baits that resulted in a couple of small kings for the cooler. We moved on to work some live bottom hoping for some flounder... The bite was a little slow and we fished for about an hour and a half to land 8 flounder with the largest at about 3lbs. Lots of seabass to mix it up too. Back out in the afternoon with Wendell C. and his son for a few hours looking for some flounder and kings. We picked up one king and wound up landing about 9 flounder with 5 nice keepers and a few seabass. Great job and hope to have you aboard again soon! Capt.
