2/3/07 Stripers and Reds!

Sat. January 3rd
Did some scouting today with Capt. Mike Taylor and his nephew Ryan onboard. We did some river fishing near home looking for a mixed bag of trout, reds, and striper. We were working strictly Berkley gulp baits. The water temps turned out to be a little cold for the trout bite at 43 degrees. But, the striper and reds were still nibbling. We fished about 5hours during midday hours and landed 21 striper from 18 to 22in. and several puppydrum. The Striper were pounding the Berkely Gulp shad! Two of the striper were tagged fish. Any info I get back regarding the tags I will post asap. Capt.Jeff Cronk 910-326-7512 Capt. Mike Taylor 252-725-2623
