2/24/07 2Trips- Sightcasting to REDFISH

2/24 Morning Trip: Left the dock with a chill in the air and Scott C. and group aboard. We scoured the flats in search of the redfish for about an hour before finally finding some fish. We followed hundreds of redfish around hooking a few and having a few pull off. Every Redfish struck Berkely Gulp baits fished on light jigheads. Wound up sightcasting to fish between 25 and 30+in. in Gin clear water before heading back to the dock around noon. A little slower this morning but these guys managed to catch about 8 nice reds today. Great Job and way to hang in there in the cold! Capt. Jeff Cronk- 910-326-7512 or 336-558-5697

2/24 Afternoon Trip: I had Cole M. and Carrie aboard for a few hours this afternoon back after the Redfish. Within 5 minutes we found a school with several hundred 25 to 30+in Redfish balled up tight on a shoal. These fish were reluctant to bite but we switched techniques a little and we managed to land 4 up to 30in. before we moved on to several other schools of fish. Both of these anglers came wearing good polarized glasses which allowed them to see the schools of fish and thus hook-up a bunch. We wound up boating about 16 Redfish before heading back in around 4:30. Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE CHARTERS- 910-326-7512
