2/11/07 February Redfish on the Fly!

2/11/07 Capt. Mike Taylor and myself had the pleasure of taking out writer Mike Marsh for some absolutely incredible redfish'n! As I've said before to many of my clients, Winter around Swansboro presents some of the best redfishing opportunities of the entire year. With absolutely Crystal clear water (check out the photo from today below) and schools of 100's to 1000's of redfish, the action is often non-stop all day. Today we managed to land upwards of 100 redfish from 18 to 30in. in less than 5hrs of fishing...and Mike Marsh accompished a first time goal he's been attempting for years... redfish in the dead of winter on the fly rod. Infact he managed to coerce 5 redfish to bite the fly before he picked up a spinning rod and a Berkley Gulp and joined Taylor and myself on an all out redfish blitz. Capt. Jeff Cronk
