11/30/06 40 Speckled Trout 4lb, 4.15lb and 5.2LB CITATION!

What a day on the water! Here it is the beginning of December and the temps were in the upper 50's at daybreak and reached 70+... The trout were biting along the surf and in the backwaters today! I had good friend, Jim Davis, onboard with me today and we layed it to the T-rout! We used both live bait and Berkley Gulp Jerkshad today and caught Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Blackdrum. We fished along the surf until about 11:00am and culled through a mess of trout, keeping our limit of 20 between 2 and 4.15lbs before we headed into the backwaters to try some new area. On the inside we managed 6 more specks and some pups with a 5.2lb trout that exploded on a Berkley Gulp Jerkshad... Man, this stuff never gets old! Great Job Jim... We had an excellent day of fishing and thought it couldn't be any better until a longtime friend and excellent fisherman, David Moore, came to the docks with 5 Citations 4.1, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, and 8.1 lbs!!!! Yikes, way to make someone feel bad David! Congrats to Bruce Hill onboard Dave's boat in landing the GATOR Speckled Trout! Capt.
