5/21/06 I had a good buddy, Marty Robinson, onboard today for his birthday. Marty and I used to hang out back in the day but he now lives up toward Raleigh and is newly married and seriously whooped. Just kidding Marty... She's a good one! Anyway, he loves flounder fishing more than anything soooo, we decided it was time to go find the bigger spring summer flatty's and not the little terds that have been biting nearshore lately. We found fish on several different areas and had good success on live shad, tigerside minnows, and berkley gulp fished on a jighead. We landed about 25 flounder, kept 14 from 1.5 to just under 4lbs and even had a trigger and several keeper bass along with a 3.5lb spanish that skyed on a pod of squid under the boat. the Spanish and squid landed in the boat making a mess before we could detain him... man what a laugh we had today! The flounder bite is ON! Trip dates available and both Mike Taylor and Myself are booking quickly for June and July. Call ASAP for best dates. I look forward to fishing with many of you folks onboard again this year. Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE- 910-326-7512 or 336-558-5697 or email jcronk@ec.rr.com
