1/23/06 I had Raz (from Swansboro) and Doug (from Beaufort) on board today for an 8 hour trip. We worked the ocean hard for trout but the front that passed over slowed the bite today... we averaged a trout or puppydrum every 15 to 20 minutes to land 18 trout with 14 keeps, another 6.2lb, a 3.8lb, and the rest from 1 to 2.5lbs. We also landed about a dozen small puppydrum from 15 to 17in. Slow compared to the past 6 trips but by no means shabby for late January in NC. Great Job Guys... Capt.
