12/04/05 6hr trip... Took off to the Cape for a quick morning trip... turned out to be a beautiful morning. Brought some live shrimp and mullet minnows along to work the trout. The action was steady all morning with a mixed bag of about 40 speckled Trout (18 trout from 2.25 to 3.75lbs), 14 red drum from 16 to 19in., several sheepshead with the largest at 1.75lbs, and a 1lb Tautog.... Enjoyable day on the water this morning... headed back in at noon. The biggest trout were caught on live mullet minnows and live shrimp... check with Dudley's Marina if you need live mullet 252-393-2204. Still some open dates in Dec. for trout and Striper... capt.
