4/17/05 Swansboro Stripers - FISH'N4LIFE

4/17/05

Checked out the new bogue inlet today.... be CAREFULL, the inlet looks nothing like it did several weeks ago and the water is so murky you can't depend on your polarized lenses to see shallow water... hopefully the water will clear soon. The new inlet has good water (10 to 15ft) till the last 30yds... which is only 6 to 8ft. The water temps have dropped inside to 51 and the ocean to 53 to 55. Didn't see much going on.... so came back inside and found a place out of the wind this afternoon and got on a quick striper bite that lasted for 45min. Hooked up with 4 striper. The ones in the pics went between 9 and 12lbs. These fish were very aggressive and fought like heck on 8lb spinning tackle! Suspending Jerk Baits did the trick! We're still finding some good schools of reddrum in the backwaters too.
Still some open dates for April and May... Call 910-326-7512 to reserve your date.
Keep Fish'n4life and teach a young one the sport!
