NC Fishing - Emerald Isle Fishing Report Dec 2018

Hey Folks,
Dec has been an excellent month for us and our clients aboard Fish'n4Life Charters.  We've been catching excellent numbers of speckled trout with a few black drum and red drum mixed in.  We appreciate everyone's business as you've chosen to fish with myself and capt. Mike in years past and hope to have you all onboard again in 2018.  Enjoy your holiday break with your families and friends.  We will be running fishing trips all Winter here in Swansboro and Emerald Isle.  Give us a call When you're ready to book your next trip.

Schools of 500+ Reds Today!

We had another awsome morning of fishing with Bill and crew aboard.  We found several big schools of reds in under 2ft of water and had them within a few feet of the boat many times.  Plenty action on Berkley's 4" pearl/chartreuse shrimp fished on 1/16oz. Jigheads.  Our two largest reds today were 26 1/2 and 26 3/4in.

Sightfishing along the Crystal Coast is Phenomonal this Winter!

Capt. Rick patterson and I did some scouting this past week and the sightfishing was INCREDIBLE! We found multiple schools of redfish with one school of nearly 1000 fish!  We caught fish until our arms were sore... a good sore though ;).  We were fishing Berkley Gulp shrimp and 4" smelt minnows on 10lb Spidderwire Ultracast Invisibraid.  We had our favorite inshore rod and reel set ups onboard, Penn Regiment 7' inshore rods paired with the Penn 2500 series Conflict reels.  Ive caught upwards of 500 reds on each of these rods in 2014 and they are holding up great!

Redfish action continues!

We had another great day sightfishing redfish with Josh and his friends aboard.  We caught reds in all 4 areas we fished.  They struck top water baits and berkley gulp rippled mullet fished on light jigheads.  Josh and his friends had multiple triple hook ups and wound up landing about 20 reds.
