Awsome Week Thus Far!!! Citations... Citations...!!!
TWO NEW BOATS for 2008!!! THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT RANGER, YAMAHA, AND COLLINS INC!
WOW! is all I can say for the trout fishing this week. Both Capt. Mike Taylor and Myself have had non-stop trout action! The average fish has been between 2 and 4lbs with a bunch of citation trout between Sun. and Wed. We've released several between 6lbs 10oz and 6lbs 14oz., a few between 5lbs and 6lbs, and a bunch of fish between 4 and 5lbs.
This has been a superb Spring for trout and we expect the bite to continue through March and early April. The bonus is that we're not just catching trout... along with these specs we're landing a few redfish, flounder, and even some striper in the mix. Check out this week's pics below and ya better call asap for a date... they are going fast... Don't worry about the weather... leave that to us... one thing is for sure when you fish with Capt. Mike Taylor or myself, Capt. Jeff Cronk... we won't waist your time and money. If we really don't feel the day will be productive, we'll set you up with another date. So, come step onboard one of these Sweeeet new, fully loaded, Ranger 2400 Bay Boats and have a ball with some Spring Backwater Fishing while riding in style!

3/13/08 4.8lb Trout, 4lb Trout, and More!
Tommy Morrow, of Atlantic Beach Surf Shop, was onboard with ole' Taylor-Made this morning doing his thing with a secret weapon bait... I don't feel right giving a man's secret bait info away.... but if you saw the action he had on this bait... you'de probably want to swing by AB surf shop and try to pry his lips open. They put up 14 very pretty Specs with one just under the new state citation requirement... a 4.8lber as well as a 4lber, and lots of 2 to 3+lb trout. They also kept 5 very nice flounder... all over the new 15.5in required minimum size. You boys are killing me... I take a few days off the water and you are hurting my feelings!

3/9/08 Citation Speck.... Trout, Flounder, Striper!
The weather put a hold on our scheduled trips this weekend so after staying indoors all day Sat... both Mike and I had cabin fever... We had a few hours to kill Sunday morning so we shot out in the cold weather early Sun. and fished until just after lunch trying to locate more trout. We started the morning slow with just 4 trout and a flounder in the first 2 hours... but, motivated by a 5lb Spec Mike had crush a Gulp bait and then walk the surface of the water thrashing his head for 8 to 10 seconds... we decided to spend a little more time looking. Easy decision, huh...We kept working and found more trout and Striper. We wound up with 11 Speckled Trout with a 5lb and 4lb and 9 more between 1.75lbs and 3lbs. along with 1 keeper flounder about 2lbs and 5 striper between 16 and 17in. Looks like it's going to be another good spring bite for trout and more in the backwaters. Call asap for open dates as they are booking fast. Capt. Jeff Cronk 336-558-5697, 252-764-2174, or Capt. Mike Taylor 252-725-2623.

3/2/2008 Big Trout, Flounders, and Striper...
Well, My New Ranger Boat is being built and should be here in less than two weeks. It is a serious fishing machine... I've got a boat wrap being slapped on it and Capt. Mike Taylor and myself will be fishing 3 Redfish series this season.... Anyway, enough of that for now... this sunday I was onboard with good friend and client, Dion Lynn. We fished the Neuse River for about half a day and caught a variety of fish. We started out the morning on a good spot and put a 4lb 2.4oz speck in the livewell on 2nd cast and then had another big trout pull the hooks on a strong run... We moved on and managed a few speckled trout, 5 Striper (largest at 20in. and 2 nice flounder about 2lbs each. Our best luck came on 4 in Berkley Gulp Pogies and 5in Berkley Gulp Jerkshad. We also caught a nice trout on a 3in. Mirrolure shad imitation with a green back. Great Job Dion!
