4/19/06 Chip and Mary from New Jersey onboard again this morning... these guys had some fun on the red drum earlier in the week and now wanted to try out the Bonito action. Well, its common knowledge that these fish show up along the nearshore live bottoms and AR's in Early April... We got out there before sun up and were on fish with the first cast. We caught fish on pink stingsilvers and 3/8oz pink leadheads with green trout killers. We had 10 hook-ups casting to busting fish and managed to land 7 from 5 to 8lbs. Later we moved on to some nearshore live bottom to land 6 flounder with 4 keeps from 1.5 to 4lbs on live finger mullet and lots of seabass and bluefish with some ringtails mixed in... Mary even fought and landed a dusky about 5ft long on light spinning tackle. The grouper seem to be moving inshore as we managed hook-up and land a couple of grouper just under the slot... Super Day Chip... and Mary! Thanks for your support... Capt. Jeff Cronk- Fish'n4life Charters- 910-326-7512 Posted by Picasa
