4/19/06 Chip and Mary from New Jersey onboard again this morning... these guys had some fun on the red drum earlier in the week and now wanted to try out the Bonito action. Well, its common knowledge that these fish show up along the nearshore live bottoms and AR's in Early April... We got out there before sun up and were on fish with the first cast. We caught fish on pink stingsilvers and 3/8oz pink leadheads with green trout killers. We had 10 hook-ups casting to busting fish and managed to land 7 from 5 to 8lbs. Later we moved on to some nearshore live bottom to land 6 flounder with 4 keeps from 1.5 to 4lbs on live finger mullet and lots of seabass and bluefish with some ringtails mixed in... Mary even fought and landed a dusky about 5ft long on light spinning tackle. The grouper seem to be moving inshore as we managed hook-up and land a couple of grouper just under the slot... Super Day Chip... and Mary! Thanks for your support... Capt. Jeff Cronk- Fish'n4life Charters- 910-326-7512

4/15/06 With a forecast of 20+mph today and muddy water my group of four rescheduled for a better weather day. So, I took my neighbor, Pete (who recently got back from his deployment to Africa) and his father-in-law, Joe out with me scouting for some fish for when the wind lets up... Well, we threw on some waders and the first spot we stopped on produced 5 reds from 25 to 29in. SWEEEET! We quickly moved on and tried to work Bogue Sound for Trout and it just wasn't happening... the SW blow for the past two days had the water looking like chalk... So, we moved in the shallow bays of the river and managed to find a good school of puppydrum and some flounder. We landed 17 pups from 15 to 19in. and lost two flounder (one around 2lbs and the other much larger) at the side of the boat. All fish in the river struck spinner baits. The red drum fishing is really picking up on the internal waters. Capt. Jeff Cronk- FISH'N4LIFE CHARTERS- 910-326-7512 OR EMAIL AT jcronk@ec.rr.com

4/11/06 Left the dock around 7:00am this morning with Tom and Kelly aboard looking for some trout and reds. Well, we hopped onto a section of the surf and started catching some 24 to 28in reds within a few casts. We landed our limit and bunch more when Tom took a wave over his waders and decided it was time to go find some trout! (YIKES). Anyway we moved back in the bays and started slow trolling and Tom nailed a 2lb trout before I could get the 3rd line out! From there on it was trout and blues mixed all morning. We landed about 40 specs and kept 14 with the largest two around 2lbs. Also managed about 6 blues from 1 to 1.5lbs. and then stopped on a honey hole on the way in for a quick 100 clams.
